What is it about Arvo Pärt's music that has led him to be the most performed living composer today?
An abundance of writing, in various different tones and forms has been written about the experience of listening to Part's enchanting works. Not wanting to add to this collection with similar words referring to my own experience of Part's music, I instead dedicated my time to researching what other's had to say about this experience.
Having condensed these words into 9 Haikus (this form was chosen for it's minimal and triadic form), each of these poems has been transposed into a musical score by using the P22 Music Text Composition Generator.
Upon scanning each haiku with this application, the music score will commence. Users are invited to experience the text and audio as one.
